But above all, Corinne was the first person to hear about a great man’s dreams.
Long before he transformed a nation, a young Mustafa Kemal found in Corinne a safe harbor. She was the trusted confidant to whom he wrote candidly from distant lands and battlefields. To Corinne, he didn’t just write about strategic warfare; he unburdened his mind, shared his core principles, and detailed his grand visions for the future. She listened with grace, understood his intellect, and nurtured the ideals that would eventually rewrite history.

Our daily standard of excellence is fueled by the exact letter Mustafa Kemal sent to Madam Corinne from Sofia in January 1914. In this beautifully preserved correspondence, he trusted her with the foundational blueprint of his lifelong ambition:
“I have ambitions, and indeed very great ones; but these ambitions do not pertain to the satisfaction of material desires like occupying high positions or acquiring great wealth. I seek the realization of these ambitions in the success of a great idea that will bring immense benefit to my country, giving me the vivid inner peace of a duty worthily performed.
